Neymar Finalizes Personal Terms with Al-Hilal

Neymar, the Brazilian forward sought after by Barcelona, seems to have taken a new direction. Recent reports from French sports outlet L’Equipe reveal that he’s engaged in negotiations with Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal. 

The anticipated deal suggests Neymar’s agreement to personal terms with Al-Hilal, indicating a potential shift from his previous European football trajectory.

Sources suggest that Neymar is poised to ink a two-year contract with Al-Hilal, which promises a staggering sum of around €160 million throughout the duration of his tenure. 

As conversations unfold between PSG and Al-Hilal, determining the appropriate transfer fee remains a focal point, especially considering Neymar’s ongoing commitment to PSG until 2025, with the possibility of an extension.

Initial whispers alluded to a conceivable loan stint for Neymar at Barcelona during the 2023-24 season. This notion, however, has been refuted by reputable journalist Fabrizio Romano, who confirms that such an arrangement is out of the picture. 

The Barcelona board’s perspective on Neymar has been mixed; while the management sees him as a lucrative asset, the coaching staff questions his alignment with Xavi’s strategic vision.

With Ousmane Dembele’s recent move to PSG, the need for reinforcement at Barcelona became evident. Despite this, indications point towards a less likely signing of an attacker.
