Ousmane Dembele’s Exit to Add €26.2 Million to Fair Play Margin
1 min readFC Barcelona officially announced that Ousmane Dembele, a winger, is leaving to join PSG. This move is worth €50.4 million.
In an earlier agreement, Dembele was supposed to get €15 million, and the club would receive the rest, which is €35.4 million.
A report from Catalunya Radio explains how this impacts FC Barcelona’s finances. Before, they thought the money would be split equally, but now Barcelona got €10 million more.
According to the report, Dembele’s departure means Barcelona can use an extra €26.2 million for their money situation.
This is possible because they can use 60% of Dembele’s pay, which is €13.8 million, and 35% of the money they got from his transfer, which is €12.4 million. Put together, that’s €26.2 million.
With the €9 million from Franck Kessie leaving and the €60 million from ending the Barça Vision deal, Barcelona can now sign new players and extend contracts.
They already finished signing Ronald Araujo and Ilkay Gundogan. More players are expected to join soon.
This also gives them space to bring in more players, and they might get even more money if they sell Sergino Dest and Clement Lenglet.
