Barcelona’s Latest Signing Plans

1 min read

Barcelona is getting ready to sign their fourth player this summer, and it’s making a lot of noise in Catalonia.

So far, they’ve added Ilkay Gundogan, Oriol Romeu, Inigo Martinez, and they’re also bringing in Brazilian striker Vitor Roque, but he won’t arrive until January 2024.

Now, Barcelona wants to fix their problem with the right-back position, and they’re eyeing Joao Cancelo from Manchester City. It looks like a deal is almost done, with reports saying he might come on loan with an option to buy him for €30 million next year.

Reports from Sport say we can expect the official announcement of this deal within this week. They’re hoping to have Cancelo ready to play by this Friday, but it’s doubtful he’ll be able to join the game against Villarreal this weekend.

Barcelona’s main goal right now is to get Cancelo, Marcos Alonso, and Inaki Pena on their team before the transfer deadline. After that, it seems unlikely they’ll make any more signings unless a big player leaves.

Sergino Dest is already on loan, and Clement Lenglet might be following him out. There’s been talk of Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix joining on loan, but it’s looking less likely, especially with Atletico’s demanding terms.
